May 2013 - Clambake and Golf Tournament Registration are now available!

• The 68th Annual CNY ASHRAE Clambake is on Thursday, June 13, 2013! Tickets are $50 with cash or check payment and $51 with Paypal). More information here.

• The 15th Annual ASHRAE RP Golf Tournament is on Thursday, June 20, 2013. Ticket prices are $75 per person, $40 for skins, and $400 for a foursome and hole sponsorship. 

April 2013 - Clambake, Upcoming Meeting Topic

August 2012 - Welcome to the new website of the ASHRAE CNY Chapter!

In July 2012, we updated our site and moved to a new hosting provider. You'll notice the following changes:

• Our address has changed to ashraecny.org. The old addresses will automatically forward to the new website.
• Members and guests can now register and pay for events directly through the website. Our new web-based system automatically emails event confirmation information to members
• New event registration types are now available, for Life Members, first time YEA Attendees, and those paying for an entire year in advance (buy 6 meetings, get one FREE!). You can even register guests! Of course, the old registration type is still available.
• Events can now be saved to your Microsoft Outlook Calendar.
• Members now have profiles on our website. Update your profile by logging in on the upper right hand corner! Your profile is assigned to your email address.
• You can now join our Chapter directly through the website!
• The ASHRAE CNY Chapter is now on Linkedin. Check us out here.

Behind the scenes, we've made the following additional change:

• Newsletters and event announcements will now be handled through our hosting providor. You will automatically receive reminders prior to our events.

Many additional changes are in store, but, in the meantime, we encourage you to browse the new site, log in, and see what you think. Contact our new webmaster, Richard Kimball - rkimball@bergmannpc.com with any questions or concerns!

August 2012 - New Event Fees, New "All-Access" Meeting Pass, September 2012 Meeting Registration Open

Event Fees

• Effective September 2012, the meeting registration fee for our monthly ASHRAE meetings has been increased from $25 to $30. The change was required due to increases in fees from our suppliers. Want to avoid the increase in fees? Buy the "All-Access" CNY ASHRAE Meeting Pass. See below.
• Registration fees have been frozen at $25 for ASHRAE Life Members.
• First time YEA Attendees (those under 35) and students are still FREE.
• Contact the board for more information.

"All-Access" CNY ASHRAE Meeting Pass

• For only $180, you can now purchase the annual "All-Access" ASHRAE meeting pass! Your $180 will cover attendance to all ASHRAE Events (excluding Clambake and Holiday Party). We have 8 events scheduled for 2012-2013, one of which is covered by our friends at UTC (Carrier). 
• Your $180 is paying for $210 of meetings, or a savings of $4.29 per meeting!
• Visit ashraecny.org/join to purchase your "All-Access" pass. (Note: If you are already on our email list, you will need to create a new password to log in.)

August 2012 - How to Register for the 2012-2013 "All-Access" Pass

Registering for the "All-Access" Meeting Pass is easy! See the following steps, or contact our webmaster - Richard Kimball - rkimball@bergmannpc.com for more information. 

Procedure for all REGISTERED MEMBERS (those receiving our emails) - this procedure applies to most users:

1. You already have an account on our site at the email where you are receiving announcements, but it is not yet set up for your access. You must set up your password to access the site and upgrade your membership level.
2. Click "Forgot Password" in the upper right hand corner. Follow the instructions on that page to email a new password and reset your password.
3. Log in to the site with your new password using the box in the upper right hand corner.
4. Click "View Profile" in the upper right corner.
5. Click "Change Membership Level".
6. Follow instructions on screen to upgrade your membership.

Procedure for all UNREGISTERED MEMBERS (those not receiving our emails) - this procedure will not apply to most people:

1. Visit ashraecny.org/join 
2. Select "All-Access" Pass.
3. Enter your email address. If you are already on our email list, you already have an account, and will be prompted to log in or reset your password, follow the steps listed previously. Otherwise, procede with the instructions onscreen.

Our Purpose

Welcome to the Central New York Chapter of ASHRAE.
The purpose of our organization is to advance the arts and sciences of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning to the Industry's professionals in the Greater Syracuse and Central New York area by courteous professional and social exchange between equipment manufacturers, sales and service representatives, installation and service contractors, consulting engineers, service providers, and building owners or owner representatives.

Our Central New York Chapter is active with monthly meetings and various events throughout the year. We have about 240 members from across Central New York. The chapter is based out of Syracuse, NY. Please contact us if you have questions about or are interested in membership.
